Red Series

Apply oil for the Intermediate servo on AXOD type transaxles comes up through the servo pin bore and through the hollow pin to the back of the piston.  This requires the pin to seal in the servo pin bore to apply the servo and achieve second gear.  When the transaxle goes to shift into third, it uses direct clutch oil to release the servo.  This requires the pin to seal to prevent a leak here also.  As time goes by and the servo goes through many apply and release cycles, the case wears and the pin no longer seals.  This wear causes both apply and release oil to leak.  With these leaks, the transaxle lacks adequate pressure to hold either the band or the direct clutch completely applied, burning both.

The AX-INT kit contains all tooling necessary to repair the low and intermediate servo pin bore. It is a RED series kit, and is available as either a Master (pictured) or Sub kit.
